Latest issue of Routes/Roads

The new edition of the magazine is a special issue (208 pages) entirely dedicated to the last World Road Congress which took place in Paris, 17-21 September 2007.

The Editorial writen by Jean-François Corté starts this issue. The following sections News and Update present the new logo and the new PIARC website so as the online Directory Trainings Organization.
At the end of the magazine, you will find the following sections Road Stories with a paper concerning the History of Road mobility, and the last Publications.

Have a look on the "Souvenir Report" of the Congress and download the contents. The online version will be available next April in the Virtual Library.

This article examines how over the course of the 20th century, world gatherings devoted to roads have reflected the evolution in conceptions and context regarding the road and the road transport system.

Summary of the "Ministers session" at the 23rd World Road Congress on the theme of road pricing by Francesco Gaeta and Samira Irmane-Semaan

One of the highlights of the "Paris 2007" World Road Congress was the "Ministers Session." Politicians from 53 countries and governments exchanged ideas on the new challenges of road pricing. The topic of the session, "User charging: Potential and bounds" was discussed during three consecutive round tables, chaired by journalist Ms. Dominique ROUSSEL, held on the stage of the amphitheatre at the Palais des Congrès.

General report of the World Road Congress

The general report of the Congress integrates the comments collected during this review period, along with the conclusions generated from the various Congress sessions held. This report also contains the set of detailed conclusions transmitted by both the strategic topic coordinators and the technical committees once their Congress sessions have been completed.
